April 16, 2003 journal, the war is over but the battle is just begun, memories, who are we.

I am feeling less attached to this world and more a part of God's creation for all eternity.

The Iraqi people are at peace now including women and children killed by friendly fire that was meant to save them from the devil obsessing Saddam Hussain.  Tens of thousands of their soldiers were killed while their families back home were destroyed. These people had a right to protect their homeland the same as we do but they were just following orders as for the best they knew and they were killed.  The ultimate peace is the death of a body and that is what we have done to Iraq.  Who are we in our godless state of affairs to decide the death of a people.  Hitler made a mistake when he felt so strong until he decided to invade Russia through a thousand miles of white snow when he should have read about Napoleon Bonaparte and his defeat on the same trail years before.  Now a political war has begun as who will lead Iraq and the rank-and-file seems to be left out as they demonstrate in streets. Who are we to set any example before the world of a free and or democratic government? Who are we to talk about freedom or peace as we used such force to change their regime? Who are we to teach the world how to live or stay well when sickness/disease is industry? Who are we to impose democracy on a country while we have a Supreme Court regime? Who are we to liberate another nation while our own people are in bonds to the dollar bill? I remember being in business and visiting St. John's manufacturing company where I make purchases but one day I arrived and Mr. St. John's offices were invaded by I-R-S agents. This was an experience for me to see their attitudes were extremely hostile even though it appeared that this man's books were kept perfectly.  I as a customer was turned away as they cornered every individual separately for intense questioning and every employee in the cutting and sewing department appeared to be afraid of these men.  Not long after that Mr. St. John closed his plant and retired.  A few years later I found myself in business on a larger scale and one day I went to a water fountain and read the sign that must be hung by every employer in a popular location in the business for every employee to read by law.  I read where I could be fined $10,000 or imprisoned for years if I broke one of these state laws dealing with employment.  I resented this threat against me as an employer deciding then and there that I was in the wrong place on the wrong side of this fence and need out. The income-tax was said to be a war tax perhaps the first and again for the 2nd World War, but it stayed around as a practice and as a weapon of destruction but never seem to be ratified or legalized.  It won't be long now until the people will be relieved as the truth is known.  I have predicted that war crimes would result from this war and I still feel that I should confirm this as a possibility.  Why did our founding fathers write the constitution if they did not intend for it to be followed.  How could we trample it underfoot but retain a nation, this nation. Sept.11 was a second Pearl Harbor and more evidence is surfacing that would indicate that this government and that this dealing decreed administration knew of or collaborated with that awful event in advance. One high-level official now removed is quoted as referring to his boss as "Commander-and-thief". I said from the beginning that I find it strange that no people was rescued by helicopter from the roofs of the twin towers.

The polls may be wrong about support for this wholesale killing of Iraq. My next painting I plan to do bush-babies showing a likeness of the little Iraqi boy who lost both arms and was burned over one-third his body with his intestines hanging out.  Never in my life have I seen worse atrocities than this.  Who cared that the Iraqi people were slave to Saddam? What kind of person would order this type of destruction upon any people of the world?
